Symposium Johannes Hudde (1628-1704)
The Royal Library organises a symposium about Johannes Hudde, one of the great mathematicians of the seventeenth century. Hudde worked closely together with Christiaan Huygens, Spinoza and Johan de Witt. He was famous in his days, but today he is almost forgotten. This symposium will shed light on his many facets and there will be a demonstration of the microscope he has developed.
The symposium is organised by the Royal Library and the Huygens ING (KNAW). Participation is free, but please register before 26 May.
