Courses: Decision Making 1 and Solidarity

Roeland Voskens

'I teach bachelor and master courses in psychology at the UvA. My main interests are applied (social) psychological processes in advertising and social influence, technology and human cognition and interaction and fundamentals of (scientific) reasoning and decision making. The focus in these courses is for a large part on interdisciplinary aspects: the role of technology in human behavior goes beyond just psychological factors; scientific reasoning and methodology as a core skill in all disciplines etc, as will be the case with the courses I will be (co-) teaching in the PPLE bachelor: Decision Making 1 and Solidarity.

A large part of my work at the UvA is developing new courses and teaching small scale intensive honors courses. My experience with teaching these relatively small groups of dedicated students and developing challenging and relevant courses makes me look forward to working with the PPLE students in this first year of this new bachelor's programme.'
