Accreditation and academic title

Archaeology (Research MA)

NVAO accredited programme

The Research Master's programme Archaeology forms part of the broad label Archaeology. The quality of this programme has been positively accredited by the Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO). This means that after successful completion of the programme you will receive a recognised Master’s degree in Archaeology and the title Master of Arts (MA).

Once you enrol at the UvA, you will also automatically be enrolled as an elective student at the VU University Amsterdam. You will receive a diploma from the UvA once all of the course components have been successfully completed. If you enrolled at the VU, the exact opposite applies. You will therefore receive one diploma from the university at which you originally enrolled.
