Prof. Dr. Brendan O'Dwyer
Prof. Dr. Brendan O'Dwyer joined us as Professor of Accounting in November 2004. He previously worked at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, University College Dublin (UCD) where he lectured extensively on MBA and executive education programmes as well as serving as Programme Director of the Master of Accounting. He holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Dundee and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Brendan's research expertise is interdisciplinary and qualitative in focus and encompasses: corporate and non-governmental organisation (NGO) accounting and accountability; social and ethical accounting and reporting; sustainability reporting assurance practice; corporate stakeholder engagement; corporate social responsibility corporate governance; qualitative research methods, and professional accounting ethics and disciplinary procedures.
