"Having moved to the Netherlands about 3 years I didn't really know what Dutch universities have to offer to their students. But studying at the UvA feels like being centre stage, connected to events in the Netherlands and in Europe."
"The FEB has world-class professors and quite inspiring lecturers who encourage everyone to keep pace with current developments. Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business initiated the "Room for Discussion" programme where renowned academic and public personalities come to UvA and discuss recent important economic issues with the students. Everyone can join in and I believe these discussions widen the perspective of those who follow them. While most of the discussions were in Dutch, it was possible to pose questions in English too."
Moving here meant starting over in many aspects of my life, including going back to school to upgrade my knowledge of needed for my professional career.
"I chose the University of Amsterdam because it offers the programme I was looking for in English. It also has the reputation of being one of the finest, if not the best, universities in the Netherlands. After finishing my MSc, I would like to work on improving my Dutch and hopefully find employment as a Registered Accountant here in the Netherlands."
