Tuition fee payment

Direct debit (in full or by instalment)
You can use Studielink to authorise the UvA to collect your tuition fees in full or in ten instalments. You can authorise the UvA or someone else can authorise the UvA on your behalf. You cannot authorise payments from a foreign bank account, except from a bank account within the SEPA territory.
Please note: you can only make the authorisation once your enrolment or re-enrolment has been processed in Studielink. Keep an eye on your ‘to do’ list in Studielink and check your email.
What to do if you cannot authorise payment through Studielink
If you cannot authorise payment through Studielink but you want to authorise a direct debit, submit an enquiry using the question form (go to ‘Tuition fees’ and select the ‘Payment’ option) or get in touch with the Student Service Desk.
Payment by credit card or iDEAL
Make the tuition fee payment using the UvA Payment module.
Please note: credit card payments are subject to a surcharge. Please ensure that your payment is sufficient to cover the tuition fee and the surcharge.
Bank transfers
Use the tuition fee calculator to calculate the fee you need to pay. Then transfer the tuition fee to bank account number NL26DEUT0436855232 under the name of University of Amsterdam in Amsterdam. In the bank transfer, make sure to include your student number, surname, initials and date of birth.
For international payments, you will need the following details:

Payments must be made in euros and without charges to the beneficiary (i.e. the transaction costs charged by the bank for international transfers must be paid by the party making the payment). International transfers can take about two weeks to process.
Requesting an invoice
If a third party (such as an employer) is paying your tuition fees, you can request a tuition fee invoice.
Use the question form to request a tuition fee invoice (go to ‘Request invoice/documents’ and then the ‘Tuition fee invoice’ option).
Proof of payment
If you have already paid tuition fees at another educational institution in the Netherlands, please request a proof of payment (Bewijs Betaald Collegegeld) from the institution. This must be made out to the UvA. Send it, together with your student number, to:
