‘In December, I decided one Master’s wasn't enough, and made up my mind to leave Vienna and move to Amsterdam to study persuasive communication at the UvA. How can marketers and advertisers explain the behaviours of consumers? Often they just can’t. But this course delivers the answers to this.

After a pre- Master’s in research methodology, which was indeed helpful, I started the real deal. I love the topics and find them deeply interesting. Sometimes I struggle with the focus on academic methods, bringing along variables and conceptual models, but I guess that everyone has his own forte. One thing is sure: I don´t regret my choice to start this second Master’s. ’

‘With an ambition to work with social media and marketing after my study, I
switched to the UvA for my Master’s. By choosing the motivations of Facebook fans as my thesis subject, I was able to interview very interesting community and brand managers. That project gave me a glimpse of  awesome jobs that matched my interests, and motivated me to apply for a Marketing Communication traineeship at Philips. In short, Persuasive Communication was the ideal stepping stone for my career.’
