Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage


The Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage programme is open to those with:

A university Bachelor’s degree

The programme is open to students with a Bachelor’s degree from the UvA or an equivalent, recognised degree from another university in:

  • the humanities, preferably with a minor in Conservation and Restoration;
  • the sciences, preferably with a minor in Conservation and Restoration.

Bachelor’s degrees in Art History, Cultural Studies, History, Archaeology, Materials Science and Chemistry provide a particularly suitable basis, but the Examinations Board may also regard other degree certificates as being suitable.
