Entry requirements

Game Studies (MSc Information Studies)

 

You are eligible for the GS track programme, if you have an an average final grade of 7 or higher, affinity with games and technology and one (or more) of these degrees:

  • a Dutch academic Bachelor's degree in Information Studies (Informatiekunde).
  • a Dutch or foreign academic Bachelor's degree in a field closely related to GS (such as computer science, business studies, communication studies, social sciences, psychology, pedagogy and teaching, media studies, health and life sciences, medicine, culture studies) and an overall GPA of at least a 7 (Dutch grading system; equivalent of 3.0 in US system, 2:1 in UK system, C in ECTS system) - further examination is needed before admission can be considered
  • a Dutch or foreign college of higher vocational education (‘HBO’ in Dutch) Bachelor's degree in a field closely related to GS (such as game design, game development, game technology) and an overall GPA of at least a 7 (Dutch grading system; equivalent of 3.0 in US system, 2:1 in UK system, C in ECTS system) - further examination is needed before admission can be considered

 

If you have a Bachelor's degree in a different field than mentioned above, you may also be eligible for this programme, due to e.g. work experience. Please contact the GS Programme Manager to find out if this is the case for you.
