Non-commercial parties

Refer to the links below for non-commercial parties renting out student rooms.

StudentenWoningWeb

StudentenWoningWeb brings together the considerable stocks of student accommodations offered by housing associations De Key, DUWO, Ymere and Stadgenoot in the city centre, Osdorp, Amsterdam Noord (North), Diemen and Amstelveen. Rents are reasonable. StudentenWoningWeb charges €30 for registering. You will have to accumulate waiting time in order to increase your chances of finding a room via this website.

ASVA Student Union Rooms Bureau

The ASVA Student Union Rooms Bureau is a non-commercial agency that raffles off one room per day,  providing there is sufficient supply. The results are completely non-discriminatory and there are no waiting or priority lists. The rooms available in the raffle are posted on the ASVA website. In order to enter the raffle, you must become an ASVA member. You can also approach the ASVA Student Union Rooms Bureau for advice and addresses of reliable room hiring agencies. As a registered member, you will be able to search WoningNet's supply of rented and owner-occupied housing according to region. If you find something suitable, you can apply for it. Allocation of housing depends on how long the applicant has been a registered member. NB: Registration costs are €60 and waiting lists can be long.

Anti-squat

‘Anti-squat' accommodation is affordable and adventurous. You take up temporary residence in a building in order to prevent squatters from moving in.
