Holland Scholarship

The Holland Scholarship is financed by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science as well as 48 Dutch research universities and universities of applied sciences. This scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their Bachelor or Master in the Netherlands.

Please note that the Holland Scholarship is a non-recurrent scholarship of €5,000.

UvA applicants 

At this moment, the procedure for the Holland Scholarship is being fine-tuned by several international departments within the UvA. The UvA will receive a maximum of 36 scholarships for incoming degree students from non-EU countries. A  maximum of 48 scholarships are awarded to UvA exchange students who will be studying in a country outside Europe.

For the academic year 2015-2016, the Holland scholarships for incoming degree students will be added to the Amsterdam Merit Scholarships. The scholarships meant for UvA exchange students will be awarded to the already selected students for a non-European exchange, for which the selection’s scores will be leading.

For next years, the procedure for applications will be further defined later this year.
