Semesters and collective days off
Semesters
The UvA academic year is divided into two semesters. The 2014-2015 academic year is scheduled as follows:
- First semester:
1 September (week 36) 2014 – 30 January 2015 (week 5)
- Second semester:
2 February 2015 (week 6) – 26 June 2015 (week 26)
Collective days off
In 2015, the day before Liberation Day (Monday, 4 May) and the day after Ascension Day (Friday, 15 May) are collective days off and the University will be off.
