Faculty

The dean is responsible for ensuring the quality of the degree programmes and curricula throughout the entire faculty. The dean consults with the directors of the Graduate Schools and Colleges and is accountable to the Executive Board.

At the faculty level, participation in decision-making is facilitated by the Faculty Student Councils and Faculty Works Councils. These bodies periodically consult with the dean on faculty policy and are thus closely involved in the development and quality assurance of the programmes and curricula. The Faculty Student Council also has partial right of approval regarding adoption of the Teaching and Examination Regulations. Regarding those aspects for which there is no right of approval, the dean generally grants the Council the right to advise.
