Robert Davidson

Robert J. Davidson is a PhD researcher. His  research examines the changing relationship between the Dutch government and the gay and lesbian social movement.

Dr Mischa Dekker

Mischa Dekker obtained his PhD from the UvA and EHESS in Paris with a comparative research project on sexual street harassment in the Netherlands and France. Alongside #MeToo, the project’s central themes included feminism and stigmatisation, for example following the 2016 New Year’s Eve assaults in Cologne.

Marie-Louise Janssen, Sociology

Dr Marie-Louise Janssen

Marie-Louise Janssen is a cultural anthropologist and a lecturer in gender and sexuality studies at the UvA’s Sociology department. Her areas of expertise are prostitution, migration and human trafficking. Her current research project focuses on sexuality, sex work and students.

Dr Rachel Spronk

Rachel Spronk conducts interdisciplinary research on culture, gender and sexuality. Her research focuses primarily on the intersection of three scholarly fields - anthropology, gender and sexuality studies, and African studies.
