Leonard Besselink is professor of Constitutional Law, whose focus is on the study of constitutional law. His areas of expertise are constitutional law, the constitution, human rights, European integration and constitutional aspects of democracy and the rule of law.

Sanne Kruikemeier is a communication scientist. Her research focuses on the role played by social media during election campaigns (and at other times). In addition, she conducts research on the consequences of the online news people read. Lastly, her research is concerned with the role played by journalists in a changing media landscape.

Liza Mügge is a political scientist whose expertise include political transnationalism, diversity and inequality on the basis of gender and ethnicity. She conducts research into the political representation of women and ethnic minorities.

Roland Pierik is associate professor of Legal Philosophy at the Faculty of Law. His current research primarily focuses on the (legal) regulation of vaccination against infectious diseases. He is a member of the Vaccinations Committee of the Health Council of the Netherlands.

Annette Schrauwen is professor of European Integration, whose focus is on the right to citizenship and history. Her research mainly concerns the concept of European citizenship and the rights and obligations this entails, as well as the associated developments in the administration of justice and legislation.

Jouke Turpijn is a historian who specialises in the political culture and public history of the Netherlands over the two last centuries. His areas of expertise are parliamentary culture, adolescents and political engagement, the 1980s, popular historical culture, public opinion and public discontent.

Rens Vliegenthart is professor of Communication Science. His research focus is on the way the media report on political actors and social movements. His areas of expertise are political communication, election campaigns and the relationship between journalists and politicians.
