  • Profile

    Catalina García is a PhD candidate in the Governance and Inclusive Development (GID) programme group of the AISSR. Her research focuses on understanding maritime boundary-making dynamics from a sociolegal perspective in the Western Caribbean.

    She holds an MA in History from los Andes University, and a bachelor in Anthropology from the National University of Colombia. She has over 12 years’ experience as an independent researcher working on maritime social-related projects in the Caribbean.
