Participants sought for large-scale lab experiments

14 March 2017

An UvA research team is looking for participants for a large-scale lab experiment in the social science. The first experiments will take place within the next two months, and participants will be remunerated for their participation.

About the experiment

The lab experiment falls under the scope of the European IBSEN research project ( This project aims to realise a breakthrough in social sciences with controlled lab and web experiments examining the behaviour of large groups of people (1000+).
The goal of the project is to understand decision-making by means of laboratory and online social experiments. This project will see the creation of the largest simulator of human behaviour ever realised. We need your help to do this!

About Horizon 2020

In 2015, Amsterdam School of Economics (ASE) researchers were awarded a Horizon 2020 grant for large-scale lab experiments in collaboration with several European universities. ASE researcher Anita Kopányi-Peuker was appointed as a post-doc to the project.

The grant is for researchers of the Center for Nonlinear Dynamics in Economics and Finance (CeNDEF) and the Center for Research in Experimental Economics and Political Decision Making (CREED). Both of these Centers are part of UvA Economics and Business.
