In 2014, a new prestigious scholarship programme was launched, targeting exceptionally talented Master’s students from outside Europe. The AES is a full scholarship of €25,000 (covering tuition and living expenses) for one academic year with the possibility of extension for a second year (for two-year Master’s programmes). For the academic year 2018-2019 the University of Amsterdam offers 9 full AES scholarships.
The Graduate School of Communication would like to assist potentially eligible Communication Science students with their application for the AES scholarship. More information about eligibility can be found here.
Are you an exceptionally talented student, from a non-EU/EEA country, do you meet the additional requirements and are you interested in applying for the AES-scholarship programme? Then you're welcome to apply. Please make sure that we also have received your application for our Research Master’s programme or one of our Master’s programmes before 10 January 2018. The Graduate School of Communication will contact a limited number of potential candidates, to work together on an AES scholarship-application.
Please keep in mind that you must have been accepted to our (Research) Master's programme before you are entitled to the AES. We advise you to apply for the AES and (Research) Master's programme simultaneously. The application for the scholarship and programme are two different submissions. You need to submit your application for the programme online. The application for the scholarship has to be sent via postal mail.
