Competition is one of the prime organising principles of a market economy. Companies perform better because of it; laws protect its processes, and international institutions enforce these laws when competition comes under threat. In the Competition Law and Economics track, students of the Business Economics Master’s programme learn to understand the intricacies of competition and the regulations that govern it. A track for future business leaders and policy makers that would enjoy working in and with competitive markets.

  • Combine economics classes with courses in law by the Amsterdam Law School;
  • Prepare for a career in large corporations, specialised consultancies, dedicated NGO’s and competition agencies worldwide, or in parts of government concerned with competition and regulation;
  • Enjoy a strong research focus, highly qualified international staff and passionate discussion with fellow students from competitive economies over the world.
