Are you passionate about how we can live sustainably within the Earth system? In the Environmental Management track, you learn to combine knowledge on hydro- and geo-ecological systems with inter-disciplinary approaches aiming for the sustainable management of the environment. Examples include the management of nature reserves, urban blue-green spaces, and the revitalisation of degraded landscapes.
Tackle environmental management problems for the sustainability of society
The Earth is under unprecedented anthropogenic pressure, which is reflected in climate change, degradation and contamination of the natural environment, and species extinctions. You'll learn to investigate Earth systems and manage environments, with a particular focus on tropical systems. You will be trained to apply knowledge on how to tackle environmental management problems for the sustainability of society in either a professional setting or in research.
