Dr Wieke de Vente is assistent professor at the Department of Child Development and Education. Her research is focused on psychophysiological aspects of psychopathology. Current areas of interest are social anxiety and stress. She is involved as a teacher in a course about longitudinal data-analyses in the postgraduate epidemiology programme EpidM (VU University Medical Center). She also teaches developmental psychology and personality theories, psychopathology, and psychophysiological research methods at the undergraduate level, and psychophysiological methods in the research master. Currently she is involved in a study about the early development of social anxiety ( www.sociale-ontwikkeling.nl ) and a study about reducing stress during pregnancy.
