'I complemented my Strategy track with marketing electives'

Eline van Es, Business Administration: Strategy

'After studying in Utrecht for a year, I switched to the University of Amsterdam to do Communication Science. During my second and third year, I took a minor in Marketing Management. I liked that so much that I decided to do a Master's in Business Administration to get more in-depth knowledge of this subject area.  Thanks to my minor I was able to enrol in Business Administration without a transition year.

From the different tracks that this programme has on offer, I chose Strategy because it seemed the most challenging but I was also interested in Marketing. That is why I like the electives so much. The programme has definitely met my expectations. There is a wide range of choices and I complemented my Strategy track with electives in Creative Industries, Marketing, and Management Consulting.

Amsterdam is an amazing city to study and live. There is always something to do, especially during the summer. People just start hopping from terrace to terrace, spending days in the park, going to one of the many festivals or renting a boat to float through the canals. I love student life but now I feel ready to start working. From a career perspective, Amsterdam is also the place to be because many offices of major companies are based here.'
