'The lecturers at the ABS are very friendly and approachable.'
Erdi Tugmaner, Business Administration: Entrepreneurship and Innovation
‘As I did an exchange programme at the University of Amsterdam during my Bachelor’s programme, I already knew the high quality of the education here. Also, the track I wanted to follow, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, was very well explained and the structure of the programme seemed very interesting. On top of that, living in Amsterdam and the idea of being close to many global companies made my choice an easy one.
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses are highly practical, which is one of the key advantages of taking this track. Another important aspect is that the lecturers are very friendly and approachable. The high number of international students increases the diversity of the class, which in turn makes the lectures and seminars more interesting. Students at the Amsterdam Business School are able to see things from many different perspectives and that makes studying here very dynamic. While gaining both theoretical and practical knowledge, one can make time for social events as well. Having fun is always a part of the ABS experience.
For a student, Amsterdam is the best city. It is not too big and very safe, so commuting around the city is very easy. At the same time, the city is very lively, there is always something new to do. In addition to this, the international character of the city makes it easy to adapt. Personally, during my time at the UvA, I signed up for sports at the University Sports Center and I played in a student football competition. I’m currently working full-time at TomTom and I found this job even before I graduated. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses I completed helped me a lot during the interviews and the assessments. The programme also helps you to build a network, which can be really helpful in your future professional life.’
