'I will return to Peru with a solid academic background'

'I studied Economics in Peru and always wanted to pursue my Master's degree at a highly-ranked university. I found that the Msc in Economics at UvA is a very advanced programme, especially the major I have chosen, which is Industrial Organisation.
After the first days of classes I was impressed by the fact that so many of my fellow students come from around the world, and the atmosphere of the programme truly feels international. I hope more students from South America will decide to come here!
I really like Amsterdam. Its canals are beautiful and cycling as an alternative means of transportation is a cheap, healthy and fast option. I was a little nervous about using a bicycle at first but after a couple of days I am confident and happy to cycle in Amsterdam; it helped me to discover the city.
Even though studying at UvA requires lots of hard work, I am sure it will be a great success. I am confident that after finishing my Master's programme I will return to Peru with not only a solid academic background acquired in UvA but also with a great life experience.'
