The Corporate Communication track within the Master's Programme in Communication Science gives a broad understanding of the communication of commercial and non-profit organisations with their environment and society.
An important question within Corporate Communication is:
- How are communication strategies being developed, approved, implemented and evaluated?
A vital aspect to note is the public responsibility of organisations, especially in relation to public opinion and the public debate in the media.
The track features topics such as:
- corporate identity
- image and reputation management
- corporate branding
- theories of organisation culture and commitment theories
- communication in change processes
- crisis communication
Corporate Communication at the University of Amsterdam
Amsterdam is an important media capital. Nowhere else are more media-enterprises, communication consultancies and research firms to be found.
The Graduate School of Communication is located in the Oost Indisch Huis, right in the centre of Amsterdam. Besides the Graduate School of Communication and the College of Communication (which offers the Bachelor in Communication Science), the Amsterdam School of Communication Research (ASCoR) also has its seat at the Oost Indisch Huis.
ASCoR is the main research facility for communication science in the Netherlands and one of the largest in the world. Many senior researchers associated with ASCoR lecture in the Master's programmes offered by the Graduate School.

Corporate Communication is a track of the accredited degree programme Communication Science. After successful completion of this programme, you will receive a legally accredited Master’s degree in Communication Science and the title Master of Science (MSc).
