Dijstelberge, Paul
A milestone for the History of the Book. The late Paul Valkema Blouw (1916-2000) was an eminent researcher and the world's foremost scholar in his field: the sixteenth century Dutch book.
This monumental edition of his complete works counts more than a 1000 pages and almost 5000 footnotes. The editors spend five years to scan, edit and translate his articles that appeared in dozens of publications over a period of more than 30 years. It was certainly worth the effort: the methodology of Blouw and the results he got with it, deserve a wide audience of scholars from all fields who occupy themselves with the sixteenth century.
