Esther Weltevrede is assistant professor of New Media and Digital Culture at the Department of Media Studies at the University of Amsterdam. She is a member of the Digital Methods Initiative research collective,  investigating digital culture from a medium-specific perspective. Her research interests include software studies, platform studies and issue mapping.
