I am an Assistant Professor in Political Science. My research is about political parties, populism, personality and emotions. For more information go to my personal website.

I am also co-director of the Hot Politics Lab, a lab specializing in the role of emotions, personality and strategy in politics.

With four colleagues I am co-founder and regular contributor to a Dutch political science blog stukroodvlees.nl.
