Oral Regenerative Medicine (Bioengineering)

This research focus targets the biological processes of adaptation and recovery of bone and periodontium, as well as the biocompatibility of materials. The latter are used by dentists to restore dental function.

Topics addressed by the clinical questions include:

  • the regeneration of bone and periodontium after surgery or due to bone breakdown;
  • effects of the materials, techniques and tools used to compensate for the loss of these hard tissues on the quality and sustainability of function recovery.
