Allocation model
The allocation model describes how primary funding (government grants and tuition fees) will be allocated. It determines how much budget the faculties are allocated and forms the basis of the UvA's budget cycle.
Universities receive a single budget from central government each year for the costs of staff and materials. There is an education component and a research component. Take a look at the infographic to see the composition of the government grant for the UvA for 2023.
