Amsterdam United presents an event on inclusive education, moderated by Quinsy Gario and with a keynote by Francio Guadeloupe.
The University of Amsterdam has experienced many changes since the Maagdenhuis occupation, such as the publication of the diversity rapport by Gloria Wekker and, consequently, the appointment of the chief diversity officer Anne de Graaf.
In light of these developments Amsterdam United is organising the event "Inclusive Education: How can we decolonize education at universities?" on Thursday the 19th of April from 7pm to 9pm at CREA in the theater room.
The event will focus around several questions. What is going on at the UvA right now when it comes to decolonising education and curricula? What is being done to pave the ways for inclusion? What does inclusion actually mean?
Professors, PhDs, students, and activists will delineate their actions and their fights for inclusion at the UvA and other universities in the Netherlands.
