In his inaugural lecture as professor by special appointment of Rehabilitation and Labour, Coen van Bennekom will argue that the invisible, cognitive effects of brain injury require an early start to occupational reintegration. Van Bennekom will also throw light on the crucial importance of rehabilitation during this phase as a way to facilitate the successful labour participation of those who suffer from acquired brain injury.
