In the national screening for colon cancer, people with a heightened chance of anomaly are selected from the general population. This happens by way of a stool test. In her inaugural lecture as professor of Gastrointestinal Oncology, Evelien Dekker will argue that further improvement of this selection method is definitely possible, and should as a result be investigated further.
