Many major societal challenges in the field of medicine, sustainable fuels and efficient agriculture require solutions at a molecular level. For this, new solutions are required at a molecular level. New molecules need to be designed and created. Academically trained synthesists are of crucial importance in this regard. In his inaugural lecture Jan van Maarseveen will explain why.
J.H. van Maarseveen, professor of Bio-Inspired Organic Synthesis: 'Ring-shaped molecules are endless' (Ringvormige moleculen zijn eindeloos).
This event is open to the public.
(Please note that the lecture is in Dutch.)
