With his PhD thesis, Thomas van Hengstum seeks to add to the body of knowledge concerning the ecological effects of plant invasions. Invasive plants can have a big impact on an area’s biodiversity and ecology, such as influencing sedimentation processes or changing the chemical composition of soil.
