René Bohnsack focuses on the car industry and the impact of government intervention in the development of low-emission vehicles (LEVs). He hereby explores how the interplay between policy interventions and car firms’ strategies has evolved over time and how firms have adapted their innovation strategies and business practices. His PhD dissertation aims to improve the understanding of the developments in the international car industry in the past 15 years with regard to LEVs. More specifically, it seeks to understand the strategies of car manufacturers and especially the interplay between incumbents and governments.
