Hannan Tahir's doctoral thesis demonstrates the importance of iterative model development in combination with the analysis and interpretation of biological data. He identifies modelling techniques that can be used to describe the physics and biology of in-stent restenosis (the growth of scar tissue in the stent as a result of the body's response to stenting).
