Doctoral candidate Justine Ruitenberg explores the labour market behaviour of Dutch mothers at the beginning of the 21st century. The discourse about freedom of choice permeates contemporary debates about women’s labour market behaviour. It is against this backdrop that Ruitenberg conducts her research.
