Very preterm born children have a heightened risk for developmental problems. To prevent such problems, 86 children received an intervention; 90 received standard care. Three years after the end of the intervention, Gijs Verkerk explores the effects of the intervention on the development of very preterm born children. Moreover, he also examines whether there is a developmental difference at the age of 3.7 years between very preterm born children and full term born children.
