Rick Kapur’s PhD thesis focuses on diseases of antibody-mediated platelet destruction, in particular on fetal and neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (FNAIT), and diseases of antibody-mediated red blood cell destruction, such as hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn (HDFN), in order to better understand the pathogenesis and clinical consequences of the diseases.
