Dystonia is defined as a neurological movement disorder characterised by sustained or intermittent muscle contractions causing abnormal, often repetitive, movements, postures or both. Justus Groen seeks to shed light on the genetic architecture of primary dystonias and identify causal and phenotype-modifying genetic variants.
