In traditional education students have trouble in applying the concept of energy conservation to various situations. Paul Logman investigates the interaction of concept and context in a teaching-learning sequence that aims at a versatile conception of energy. His main research question is: how do context and concept interact in context-based education that is suitable to develop a versatile concept of energy?
