Wietse Eshuis studies the factors that determine the outcome of pancreatic surgery, thereby adressing the diagnostic work-up, surgical treatment and postoperative care of patients with pancreatic cancer. The core of his PhD thesis is focused on the most prevalent complication after pancreatoduodenectomy.
