Daniel Ollendorf is working on comparative effectiveness research (CER), comparing the effectiveness of medicines in the United States. Many different stakeholders participate in CER in the US, including insurers, patient organisations and healthcare providers. This has led to a lack of any standardisation in the use and application of CER, and different organisations routinely reach different decisions based on the same body of evidence. The objective of Ollendorf’s research is to come up with a framework for evidence-based decision-making.
