Intracoronary pressure (inside a coronary artery) and flow velocity are indicative of the interaction between the mechanics of the heart and the hemodynamics (the science of the characteristics of blood and blood flow) of the coronary arteries. Maria Rolandi studies the time-dependent characteristics of these signals in relation to cardiac mechanics, during illness and after treatment.
