Evert Koopman’s research focuses on relatively simple models for describing polymer behaviour on small time and length scales. There are many different types of polymers (chain molecules), ranging from complex DNA molecules to polymers used to make common household items. Koopman is working on a number of improvements to computer simulation technology used to study polymers in entirely controllable circumstances.
