Annefloor van Enst focuses on the methodological issues and challenges in conducting systematic reviews, the highest level of evidence to guide clinical decisions. She hereby studies and evaluates various steps of the review process: identifying studies, assessing the quality of the primary studies and the quality of reporting of primary studies, assessing heterogeneity, and assessing publication bias. Van Enst also provides insight into how the validity of reviews can be improved.
