Jos de Roo focuses on the questions regarding the significance of Radio Netherlands World (Wereldomroep) in the development of Surinamese and Antillean literature between 1947 and 1958. There are no recordings left from this era, but the script archives of the West Indian transmission indicate there were 267 literary contributions previously unknown between 1947 and 1958.
