Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major problem in public health worldwide. Despite persistent efforts over the last 125 years, there is a lack of a simple and reliable tool for the rapid diagnosis of tuberculosis in resource-limited settings. Recent advances in biomarker discovery open new options for the development of reliable TB tests. Ngoc A Dang explores gas chromatography (GC) as a promising technique in biomarker analysis for TB diagnosis.
