Spondyloarthritis (SpA) is a chronic immune-mediated inflammatory disease with diverse phenotypic manifestations. It affects approximately 0.5-1.5% of the Western population. Although it is still unclear how SpA emerges, there is increasing evidence that the various manifestations belong to one disease. Jacky Paramarta conducts various studies which support the hypothesis that treatment which is effective for one of SpA’s manifestation is probably also effective for other manifestations.
